Urszula Brykczynska Kunzmann–Bioinformatician
Urszula studied Molecular Biology at the University of Warsaw in Poland. She obtained her Ph.D. in Epigenetics in 2009 at the Friedrich Miescher Institute for Biomedical Research (FMI), and followed up withpost-doctoral work at the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research (NIBR) and at the Department of Biosystems Science and Engineering (D-BSSE) of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETHZ), where she gained expertise in programming and genomic data analysis. Since 2019 she has been working as a bioinformatician, initially at the FMI and then at the Department of Biomedicine (DBM) at the University of Basel. Urszula joined the lab in February 2023 to work on various bioinformatic aspects of the projects.
